Gareth Clayton Died : 5 / 2 / 1992

Air Marshal Sir Gareth Clayton KCB DFC (deceased) Involved in Bomber Command shipping searches from September 25th 1939 until the end of April 1940 as Flying Officer G Clayton, Blenheim pilot, No.107 Sqn. He commanded No.576 Sqn before taking on a role with the Air Staff. Post-war he took on a number of senior roles, lastly as Air Secretary in 1970 before retirement in 1972. He died on 5th February 1992.
