John Haskins
| Squadron Leader John D Haskins (deceased) Flew on Bomber Command shipping searches in November and December 1939 as Flying Officer J Haskins, Hampden pilot, No.49 Squadron, RAF Scampton. On 6th September 1940 his Hampden P4350 failed to return from an operation, and ditched in the English Channel off Calais. He was taken prisoner along with the three other crew. He died aged 93 on 21st March 2011. |
