Friedrich-Karl Paul
| Friedrich-Karl Paul (deceased) As Captain of the Kriegsmarine torpedo-boat Jaguar, Paul took part as an escort in the Channel Dash breakthrough of February 1942 and shot down 3 aircraft on the mission. In March he successfully captured a Royal Navy launch and in October his torpedo-boat sank the British cruiser Charybdis in the English Channel. He later served in the Baltic, his ship shooting down 7 Russian planes and sinking 1 submarine. He was awarded the Knights Cross in 1945. He died 1st May 1998. |
